Our missions
Dunkerque-Port, whose legal name is Grand Port Maritime de Dunkerque (GPMD), is a State-owned public authority.
Our missions are multiple and essential:
- Developing, operating and maintaining maritime areas
- Police, safety and security
- Preservation of natural areas owned or managed by the Port of Dunkirk
- Building and maintaining port infrastructures
- Promotion of rail and waterway services
- Development and management of industrial or logistics zones linked to port activities
- Actions contributing to the general promotion of Dunkerque-Port and the port area.
Please note: the 2025-2029 Strategic Project is currently being validated by the governance of Dunkerque-Port.
