NEW ACCESS ROAD TO THE WESTERN PORT

The new road provides direct access from the A16 motorway to the Flanders Container Terminal, the ferry terminal and the logistics area, avoiding a congested roundabout and a level crossing that is not grade-separated. It also allows intercity traffic to flow much more freely. With Dunkerque-Port as the contracting authority, and costing nearly 10 M€, the operation was 80% funded by Dunkerque-Port, 10% by Dunkirk Urban Community and 10% by the European Union / TEN-T.
